How do I subscribe to contact updates?

Click the Subscribe to Contacts button at the top of the page. It will open a guide showing how to set up a live subscription. For Apple devices (iOS/macOS), you can download a one-click Configuration Profile. For Android and other systems, you can add a manual CardDAV account in your settings. Once subscribed, any new numbers or logo updates we add will automatically sync to your phone in the background, with no action needed on your end.

Can I download individual vCards offline?

Yes! If you do not want to set up automatic syncing, you can browse any brand card in the directory and click the vCard button at the bottom of its card to download that specific brand's contact card offline.

How do I unsubscribe and remove the contacts?

If you want to stop syncing and delete these contacts, you can remove them directly from your device settings at any time:
  • iPhone / iPad / Mac: Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, select the Short Code Icons profile, and tap Remove Profile. This immediately deletes all imported contacts.
  • Manual / Android Accounts: Go to your device's Accounts settings (or your CardDAV sync app like DAVx⁵), select the Short Code Icons account, and tap Delete / Remove.

Option 1: Live Sync (CardDAV)

Keep your contacts updated automatically! Once you subscribe, any new shortcodes or brand logo updates we add will automatically sync directly to your phone in the background, with absolutely nothing to do on your end.

For iPhone, iPad & Mac:

Get one-click setup using an Apple Configuration Profile:

  1. Tap Download Sync Profile.
  2. Open the Settings app on your device.
  3. Tap Profile Downloaded at the top.
  4. Tap Install in the top-right corner and enter your passcode.

Option 2: Offline Fallback

Download individual brand vCards manually. No accounts or sync settings required.

  1. Browse the directory of brands.
  2. Click the vCard button on any brand to download its individual .vcf file.
  3. Open the downloaded file to save it directly to your contacts list.

Short Code Icons does not collect, store, or track any of your personal details, phone numbers, text messages, or contact cards.

Live CardDAV Sync: We host a public, read-only synchronization server (sync.shortcodeicons.com) to deliver brand logo updates directly to your device. This server does not require registration, does not collect personal information, and only hosts the standardized brand catalog. We do not track who connects or which contacts are synced.

Local Processing: If you choose to compile or export vCards manually, all image rendering and file downloads happen locally in your web browser. None of your selections or actions are sent to our servers.

Third-Party Services: We use Google Analytics to monitor aggregate website traffic, and Google AdSense to display advertisements. These third-party providers may use cookies to serve ads and analyze traffic according to their respective privacy policies.
